With the second national lockdown ending this week, PLOTT Creative are stepping up to support local young carers in need.
Instead of buying Christmas gifts for their clients, the brand and web Agency have instead bought Christmas care boxes for the YMCA Sutton Coldfield Young Carers Care Box appeal.
The care boxes, which contain vital essentials as well as specially selected gifts and little luxuries, will be given to children and young adults aged five to 25 who attend the YMCA Release Young Carers project.
Copies of PLOTT’s charity colouring book, Lockdown Legends, have also been included in the boxes to encourage mindfulness at a particularly tough time of year.
Anna Plotnek, MD at PLOTT, said:
“We wanted to create something special to thank these incredible young people for the sacrifices they make.”
“Sponsoring the YMCA Sofa Surf early on during lockdown really highlighted the vital support this charity provides for young people in Sutton. We felt it was especially important this year to look after those who really needed it, and we think our clients will appreciate it too.”
The Young Carers project provides support and respite for vulnerable young carers who often don’t have any other form of support.
Alan Burrows, YMCA project manager and founder of the campaign, said: “It means a lot to have local businesses on board. Anna and the team at PLOTT have been so supportive this year, raising over £3k at the Sofa Surf and generously donating care boxes this Christmas.
“It’s great to see so much support and awareness for Young Carers, who have been more isolated than ever this year.”
