Thanks you for considering us as the recipient for your charity fundraising. If you’d like to organise your own fundraising or sponsored event at your home, school, church, or place of work, please contact us for posters, leaflets and collection tins. We’ll be more than happy to help and could even help you promote the event on our social media channels.

Inspiration and ideas

Donate while you shop at no extra cost!
Amazon Smile: If you shop on Amazon, please save the link below to your home screen or favourites and use it every time you shop.  Whenever you buy anything, Amazon will donate money to the YMCA and it won’t cost you a penny; Shop & Smile!

Easy Fundraising: When shopping online, make your purchases via www.easyfundraising.org.uk and chose YMCA Sutton Coldfield as your charity of choice. That way, the companies you buy from will make a donation to us at the checkout, without costing you any extra.

Put on an event: Such as a quiz, a fashion show or a motivational speaker event and sell tickets. Not only is it a great way to raise money, it’s also good fun. Charity fashion show companies such as https://www.coloursfashionshows.com are completely free with no deposit required. You sell tickets to raise money and they make their money on items sold.

Afternoon teas/coffee and cake mornings: Why not get baking and have people round for a coffee morning or afternoon tea? You can ask people for a small donation or hold a raffle and sell tickets.

Auctions: You could hold an auction dinner. Ask individuals and local businesses for items that money can’t usually buy. Individuals could offer an hour’s gardening, an evening’s babysitting or a week in their holiday home. Local businesses could offer items like a photography session, meal voucher or a hamper.

Sponsored events: Get sponsored to complete a challenge or do something on your bucket list! Simply choose an event, set-up a fundraising page and collect sponsorship. You could run, cycle, swim, dance, sleep, sing, eat or do a sponsored silence!

If you have organised a great event, don’t forget to take pictures and spread the word on social media. It’s also worth letting the local press know. PR can be a great way to increase fundraising and awareness; the more people that know about what you’re doing, the better.

Collecting sponsorship: The best way to manage your fundraising is to set up a personal fundraising page via Virgin Money Giving or Just Giving which is a simple way to collect your donations and sponsorship.

When you’ve created your page, please let us know at admin@ymcasc.org.uk so that we can track your fundraising.

Brownies

If you’re a local Brownie, we can help you to get your ‘Charities’ badge by helping others and making a difference in your Sutton Coldfield community.

Speak to your Mums and Dads about the YMCA Sutton Coldfield and get them to give us a call or pop in and see us. We can introduce you to the YMCA, show you all the charity projects we run helping disadvantaged young people in Sutton and you could even help us come up with some new fundraising ideas!
