We work in schools to identify young carers who need that bit of extra support because they help care for someone that has a disability, illness or addiction. We provide one-to-one mentoring and a holistic approach so young carers can keep up with their studies and attain good results.
We work in colleges and universities, and with partners in the community, to give young adult carers advice and support to achieve their full potential, especially during the important transitional period as they become adults. We run workshops on CV writing, job search and preparing for work, and provide regular, up-to-date information on work placements, apprenticeships and vacancies.
We provide a safe, supported space for adults with disabilities to develop and maintain important life skills.
We support residents to find out about courses and complete applications for college and university. We help them find work and apply for apprenticeships, and run sessions on money management, energy saving and healthy eating.
