“I have been an ambassador for the YMCA Sutton Coldfield for nearly 10 years. They are a charity local to my home. It’s the town where I run my business – the place where I grew up and now live with my family. My family is fortunate. My children only know what it’s like to live in a warm, safe and happy home. We are not all so fortunate. Over the years, bringing in my family, friends and business network, I have been able to refresh the residents lounge, residents kitchen, overhaul the garden, completed the Sleep Easy event (many times over!) run the Royal Sutton Fun Run and even partook in the 2.6 challenge during Covid, where each member of the family bounced on the garden trampoline for 26 minutes. No mean feat for a mother of two! Sutton Coldfield is a town known for its affluence. It’s important that we all do our bit for those in need of a bit more support. Whether this is time, resource or money. There is always something we can give.”

Elis UK provides rental and maintenance solutions for linen, workwear, washroom, mats and industrial wipers. It serves various sectors, such as Industrial Commercial Services, Healthcare, Hospitality, Care Homes, Cleanroom and Surgical Solutions. By prioritising rental over purchase; eco design, using and reusing products, repairing, and end-of-life recycling, Elis is committing to a more sustainable future for everyone.
Elis saw that YMCA Sutton Coldfield needed support creating marketing materials for its Sleep Easy event on the Match My Project website.
“Following the BSOL ICS Conference, we were keen to increase our support to the local community. Our collaboration with the YMCA, Clare Mitchell from our Marketing Team and Better Pathways, a social enterprise, proved to be a mutually beneficial endeavour. Through this partnership, we secured high-quality banners for the YMCA Sleep Easy event whilst simultaneously contributing to a worthy cause. Our investment in this partnership demonstrates our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact beyond the conference walls. We look forward to seeing how we can further support the YMCA in the future.”

“As part of our Social Value and “Match my Project” scheme, GM Building and Property Services Limited wanted to support a local charity which is the YMCA in Sutton Coldfield. We donated a new pool table for the centre, sponsored a box for their “Sleep Easy” and held a fun day doing glitter tattoos and lucky dips to help raise funds. The centre is so important for our younger community, supporting the vulnerable and deprived and helping to build their confidence. They offer support when there is none and house young people with nowhere else to go. This is important to us to as a family business”.
