We support residents’ physical and mental wellbeing through coaching and advice, workshops and social activities. We run sessions on healthy eating, money management and life skills. We have an outdoor gym that residents can use at their home in George Williams House.
We run youth clubs, sports sessions and a range of activities for young people. We help young people keep fit and make friends and provide coaching and support in these informal settings. We work in schools to identify young carers who need that bit of extra support because they help care for someone that has a disability, illness or addiction. We provide one-to-one mentoring and a holistic approach to improve the health and wellbeing of each young carer.
We promote the overall wellbeing of young adults who help care for someone that has a disability, illness or addiction. We run activities, workshops and trips to offer a welcome break from their caring responsibilities and a chance to socialise and make friends. We work in colleges and universities, and with partners in the community, to give young people advice and support to achieve their full potential, especially during the important transitional period as they become adults.
We run a varied programme of user-centred activities that promote independence and healthy lifestyles for adults with disabilities. We have an allotment where we grow vegetables that are used in our cooking sessions, and regular trips to the gym and swimming pool. We provide a safe, supported space for adults with disabilities to meet up with friends, dance and get out and about in the community.
